Haiti Relief Effort
USED CLOTHING NEEDED
gently used, summer only
(all sizes: baby, toddler, girls, boys, men and women)
This clothing will be going to an area in Haiti called Cap Haitien where some 300+ evacuees from Port au Prince are being cared for by The Missionaries of the Poor (www.missionariesofthepoor.org).
A group from St. Matthew Catholic Church will be shipping a container down in less than 2 weeks so we are trying to collect items as quickly as possible. You can see the container parked in the church parking lot at 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway. We are also purchasing new mattresses, tents, plywood (to repair a roof) and mosquito nets if you would like to make a monetary contribution as well. Checks would be made out to St. Matthew Catholic Church and reference Haiti Relief.

If you have any summer type clothing that you can donate in the next 5 days or so, please call or leave it at one of these houses. We will all be on the look-out for bags or plastic containers (much needed also).
